This is the first step in our integrated value chain. We operate 27 bauxite mines across Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra which are fueled by our four captive coal mines.

Once bauxite is mined, it is processed into alumina at our state-of-the-art alumina refineries in Utkal, Renukoot, Muri, and Belagavi.

We extract aluminium from alumina at our smelters, which have a combined annual production capacity of 1.3 million MT. Our smelters manufacture high-quality primary aluminium in the form of ingots, billets and wire rods which are used across industrial settings.

Along with our subsidiary Novelis, we lead the world in flat-rolled aluminium products, serving diverse markets from construction to cookware. Our FRP offerings include hot rolled plates, fin stock, pattern sheets, and cable wrap stock.

Our customised aluminium extrusions are used across market segments in the making of vehicles, electrical equipment, consumer appliances and other industrial machinery. Our two extrusion plants are located at Renukoot and Alupuram.

We are one of India’s leading manufacturers of foil and foil laminates which are used extensively in packaging by pharmaceutical companies. Our food-grade aluminium foils are marketed under the popular brand names – Freshwrapp and Superwrap.
